The Granum Foundation strives to identify and invest in the next generation of pathbreaking writers and artists. We first started thinking about the Granum Foundation ten years ago. The name was there from the start. Its meaning: a grain or seed. Our goal is to support individuals on the cusp of finishing a project, investing in the next generation of writers who might never reach their potential without a chance to complete their work.
The Granum Foundation Prize will be awarded annually to help U.S.-based writers complete substantive literary works—such as poetry books, essay or short story collections, novels, and memoirs—or to help launch these works.
