One Young World strives to identify the most impactful young leaders from every country in the world. Scholarships provide the opportunity for exceptional young people to attend on the merit of their proven leadership and ability to create change in their home country.

The world needs a rapid transition to net zero. Increasingly, They all want and need energy that is secure, affordable and lower carbon, As bp aims for net zero, they recognise the value of listening to, learning from and partnering with others. That’s why bp is pleased to support the Net Zero Scholarship – a programme to identify and engage with young innovators who are reimaging energy for people and our planet today.
The scholarship seeks candidates making an impact in one of the following areas:
- Advocating for progressive climate policies.
- Enhancing current decarbonised energy technologies such as solar and wind.
- Improving access to decarbonised energy.
- Innovating to reduce emissions in households, regions, cities and industries.

Benefit:
- Access to the One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast.
- Hotel accommodation between 1 – 5 October 2023.

Criteria/Requirement
- Candidates must be aged 18 – 30.
- Nationals of all countries will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.
- Evidenced commitment to delivering positive change.
- Demonstrated capacity for leadership.
- Understanding of key local and/or global issues.
- One Young World will actively seek and prioritise applicants who are making an impact in at least one of the following areas:
