About Nigerian Defence Academy Exam Date

Candidates admitted into NDA for Regular Course will undergo military and academic training as Officer cadets for a duration of 5 years for Nigerian Army cadets and 4 years for Nigerian Navy and Nigerian Airforce cadets.
On Successful completion of training, graduate will earn a honours degree in a core discipline (BSc, BEng, BA).
They will equally earn a Presidential Commission into the Armed Force of Nigeria.

• NDA Exam would take place on Saturday, 15 April 2024

NDA Exam Date/Centres 2024 Nationwide:

• Due to the Shift in the date of Governorship and state Assemble election that effected the date  for UTME by JAMB, the official date for the NDA Screening Test (NDAST) will be communicated soon. visit the page back
• Selection of Centre and Printing of Exam Cards commence from 22 March 2024 to 29 March 2024.
• The result would be released after the conduct of the UTME by JAMB. This is also on receipt of Candidates list that Choose NDA as First Choice and Scored 180 and above for all courses less Engineering and 210 and above for Engineering.

Applicants are advised to submit their applications once they have entered their JAMB registration number and uploaded their documents. The JAMB Exam Number is not necessary!

How to Select NDA Exam Centre and Printing of Exam Card Procedure:

Applicants must satisfy the following JAMB conditions to proceed to the Screening Test Stage:

• Obtained a JAMB score of 180 and above
• Chose Nigerian Defence Academy as their ‘First Choice of Institution’ when registering for JAMB

If you satisfy the above requirements but still cannot ‘Choose a Centre’; This means you must have entered your JAMB Registration number incorrectly when completing your application. Check your ‘Acknowledgement Form’ to check the JAMB registration number you provided.

To resolve this issue,

1. Login in to your application account.
2. Revert Submission
3. Update your JAMB Registration number
4. Submit your form again
5. Log out then login.

You should then be able to choose a centre and download your screening card.

NDA Screening Test Condition

Only candidates who satisfied the admission requirements and must have the UTME score of 180 for
Arts and Social Sciences and Science while 210 score for Engineering courses will be enabled to print the Screening Test Admission Card and participate in the NDA Screening Test at the centre of choice.

SCREENING TEST REQUIREMENTS

The screening test will be conducted as phase one of the POST-UTME screening. Therefore, all eligible candidates are to bring along their Acknowledgement Form, Screening Test Admission Card, JAMB Result slip and (2) postcard size (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs to the Screening Test Centre. The photographs would show only from the chest upwards and should contain the candidate’s Name, Exam number, State, Exam centre, Course of study and Signature at the back.

Only Successful candidates at the NDA Screening Test will subsequently be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board (phase 2 of the screening test) following which the list of admitted candidates will be published.

Before you join Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) below are the details:

ELEGIBILITY

Candidates eligible for 76 Regular Course admission into the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) must have the following:

1. Must be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character.
2. Must be single male or female without legal obligation to support any child or other individuals.
3. Present a Certificate of indigeneship from the state government or local government area.
4. Be at least 17 years old and NOT more than 21 years old as at the month of September in the year of entry into the Academy.
5. Must have a minimum of 5 ordinary level credits at GCE, SSCE (WAEC, NECO, NBAIS and NABTEB) English language, Mathematics and three other subjects which are relevant to the intended programme at not more than two sittings.
6. Must have passed the Unified Tertiary Matriculation examinations (UTME) and attain an acceptable minimum national standard (as determined by JAMB annual policy meeting) in English language, Mathematics and any other 2 subjects relevant to the proposed course of study as set out by the JAMB Brochure.
7. Must NOT be less than 1.68 meters tall for male and 1.65 meters for female.
8. French and Arabic, Madarin language is an added advantage.

NOTE:

1. Application forms submitted without ordinary level results will NOT be accepted.
2. Candidates awaiting results are not qualified.
3. Only ordinary level examination results of NOT more than 5 years old from the date of examination will be accepted.
4. Admission into the Academy is for both male and female Nigerians only
