The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) is one of the recognized state funding university and it was established in 2015, the school is a centre of academic excellence for the advancement of technology in meeting socio-cultural needs of the society, it has been officially accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC), Nigeria.

The main campus of the school is located in Laje, one of the city in Ondo State, Nigeria. It offers their students Bachelor Degree (B.Sc) after the completion of studies and also enrols in compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) which qualify them Discharge, Exclusion and Exemption certificate.
